New this week in my garden: Lilacs! The lovely scent makes them worth the wait.
These are beautiful. We do not have lilacs in Sri Lanka. Delicate and so pretty.

Oh wow, I miss these! When I moved to Atlanta I traded my lilacs for Magnolias. I honestly refer the magnolias, but the smell of lilacs will always mean home for me. Beautiful shot.

Oh, I’m so jealous! I had planted three sweet little lilacs at our home in Azle, and couldn’t move them with us when we left three years ago. I imagine they are blooming now… sob, sob, sniff, sniff! Enjoy your lovely lilacs!!!

I can smell them through cyber space. This was my mother’s most prized planting. I don’t have any, my neighbours all got one but not me. Imagine that!

They’re gorgeous! Now I want to track down something lilac scented so I know what they smell like. I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes open to see if I can find any around town, because I don’t think I’ve seen them before.

Lilacs are so gorgeous and fragrant. Part of the reason I picked May to get married was so that I could fill the church with lilacs.

The color is beautiful and they are so life-like in the photo, I can almost smell them! My mom had a huge lilac tree (bush?) in her garden and the smell when the lilacs were in bloom was fantastic.

Awesome! I adore lilacs. Just today I was admiring some by the road and dreamed of the day when we’d get some for our yard. I can’t wait.

Oh, my gosh! For some reason, I LOVE lilacs and hyacinths! If I could, I would have vases of them in the house year-round!

Aren’t they lovely! My neighbor across the way has a dark and light lilac tree and they’ve been smelling heavenly. The only thing is they just don’t last long enough for me.
