  1. Mary, I’m delighted to see that I’ve already read the 2 books you acquired. Don’t think that’s ever happened! Ha! I enjoyed both of them. Happy New Year and hope this week goes well for you.

    • Thanks, Kay. I picked up those books on sale (Kindle daily deals) because so many blogger enjoyed them Also, I read the first one in the Cleeves series and really liked the main character.
I couldn’t comment on your blog but wanted to say how much the Maugham quote resonated for me – especially in the past 10+ years, personally. I wish you a wonderful 2022!

    • Thanks, Diane. I wanted to answer your question about tracking books. I hope you see this reply. I keep a doc that lists title, author, source. Also, I use the Goodreads challenge that simply tracks books read in the current year. If I get much more into minutiae (pages, etc) I don’t seem to carry that through a year – so I don’t attempt anymore.

    • Thanks, Martha. I saw your post with the Christmas celebration pic. Looks like you had a nice family party. Stay well and enjoy the warmer temps when they come your way. We’re in single digits up here – perfect reading weather.

  2. The Heron Cry looks great, but the cover for The Impossible Imposter is also lovely, so intricate and detailed! I hope you have a lovely weekend and a Happy New Year 🙂

    • Thanks, Elizabeth. Both of my new books were bought with a Christmas gift card. My kids know me so well!
I still can’t post on your blog but noticed your empty mailbox. I’m sure that will change soon. The publishing world seems to take a few weeks off at the end of the year.
