Book arrivals:  (linked to Mailbox Monday)

Last week on Bookfan:

  • Review:  Twelve Slays of Christmas

Reading plan for this week:

I’m perusing my shelves and Kindle looking for my First Book of 2021. This is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. I hope you’ll join in! I love seeing what everyone plans to read to ring in the New Year.

  1. I can’t make my mind up on first book of the year. I think it needs possibly to be something off my TBR and not too long so as to get me off to a good start. I saw Wild Swan on Audible, hope you like it.

    • Thanks, Kay. It’s exciting to think about the new books due out in 2021 but I have a feeling my first book will be one that has been out a couple of years. Have a great week!

  2. Hi Mary,

I have so many books to read for scheduled Blog Tour Reviews, that I am not exactly certain which book I shall be reading when we get to New Year. However if I get the opportunity, I might well stop by and play along with this meme, as it sounds really good!

‘An Unexpected Peril’ caught my eye, but as we are up to book #6 in the series, unless they can be read as stand alone stories, I might not be able to catch up!

I love the cover of ‘The Twelve Slays Of Christmas’

Thanks for sharing and enjoy your reading this week 🙂

    • First Book is fun and a great introduction to new book bloggers! Re An Unexpected Peril: I’ve read a couple in the series so I’d say they could be read alone. The author gives pertinent info to catch readers up – at least that has been my experience so far!

  3. An unexpected peril looks good. I like your Christmas reads. I had planned to read a lot of Christmasy books but I think I’ve only read two. I will have to check my shelves to see what I want my first read of 2021 to be. I haven’t given it much thought yet.

    • I read more Christmas books earlier this fall but now life has been rather busy so my reading has been limited. Still, I try to keep up with at least one book 🙂
