Book arrivals:
Looks like I’m on a streak of two weeks with an empty mailbox. This is a great time of year for that to happen!
Last week on Bookfan:
Each year there are a few times when no reviews are scheduled. Last week was one of those times. Now on to the Christmas season. I’m hoping to read books this month that have been on my shelf or kindle for a while.
Reading plan for this week:
(I’ll choose from these – I hope to read them all during December. Covers link to Goodreads)
It’s good the book arrivals section is empty – gives you time to breathe and read those you want from your shelf. Christmas reading – doing a little myself.

Yes, breathing room in my reading life is definitely a good thing. My shoulders feel a bit lighter which is what I want during this fun, busy time of year. Have a great week, Kathryn!

I do love not having review books just waiting; I’ve had a reprieve since October, and in January, there will be two. It feels great!
I have been wanting to read that Nancy Thayer book. Enjoy your week.

I need to learn from your restraint, Laurel 🙂 That could be my new year’s resolution (if I still made them, haha).

I think I have enough books to last me the rest of my life 😉

I find that I like books from netgalley and then find publication date is a week past. So I am always late.

NetGalley is great but I need a big window of time to get my picks read.

Hi Mary,
Like yourself, I have had a lean spell of new arrivals to my shelves, although I do have a steady flow of requests coming in, for early in the New Year.
I too had hoped to make a miniscule dent in my NetGalley commitments, let alone starting on making the smallest of spaces on my actual bookshelves. However I seem to have found plenty of blog related stuff to keep my short spans of spare time, filled to capacity and now my scheduled events are in need of some advance preparation again.
Oh Well! The best laid plans etc. etc. etc… 🙂
Yvonne
