Sunday Post

Book arrivals:  (linked to Mailbox Monday)

Last week on Bookfan:

There were no blog posts last week but I was busy with other things. I finished knitting a shawl that had been on my needles for months. I have another project to finish up for a Christmas gift. That should keep me listening to audiobooks and podcasts over the next several weeks. I love being able to multitask two hobbies I enjoy.

Reading plan for this week:

  1. I have loved Cathy Lamb books, but haven’t read one in a while. Thanks for sharing the new one.

Your shawl is lovely…I wish I could knit, but when I tried it years ago, it was kind of a mess. LOL.

    Enjoy your week.

    • I learned to knit in girl scouts (I think) and then didn’t try it again until a few years ago when a friend and I took a class. I fell in love with knitting! And I love the community of knitters at my local yarn shop – reminds me of a Debbie Macomber novel 🙂

  2. Beautiful shawl, Mary! Yes, I am another who doesn’t knit or crochet or sew or…really do crafty things. I did used to enjoy cross-stitch, but that’s kind of our of style now and I save my eyes for reading. Ha! Enjoy your listening and crafting!

    • Thank you, Kay! I used to cross stitch as well but it became too challenging for my eyes and like you, I’d rather read 😀

  3. The shawl is gorgeous, thanks for showing us. Yes I like to craft and listen to an audiobook at the same time where possible. I hope you like All About Evie, at least it will give you an idea of her style, I plan to read it in the next few weeks.

Thank you so much for your kind email after my grandfather’s passing. Things have been a little crazy and I haven’t been able to get back to you but I really appreciated it. I hope you have a wonderful week!

    • Thank you, Katherine. Your grandmother has been in my thoughts. My mother has faced similar adjustments in the year and a half following my dad’s passing. Sending you all good thoughts.

Also, I hope to be back posting on your blog soon.I need to see if one of the Apple geniuses can help me. First, I need the time to pop into the Apple store. Have a good week.
