Happy reading. I tried to get the Barton book but failed. It sounds good.

Sorry you didn’t get it. Do you ever try contacting the publisher directly – or just request via NetGalley?

I don’t know anything about your new book, but I have the Robyn Carr on my wishlist to eventually get. Great choice for a new year, a story about families! Enjoy!

Hi Rita. The new book was a surprise that I look forward to reading. It arrived just before I left home to ready my parents Arizona house to sell. Two of my sisters and I are there working long days – not much reading time. I agree that a story about families is a great way to begin the year. Have a great week!

The Suspect looks really good.
Good luck to you and your sisters – I’m sure that’s a rather sad task to take care of.

It’s ok to be busy and only read one book!

I am eager to get my hands on The Best of Us and The Suspect. I hope to enjoy however many books I read this week…I find that one or two is my “normal” these days. I like it, because it means I am off the couch and out the door occasionally.
Have a great week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

It’s the time of year when I want to stay on the couch because it’s so darned cold outside but I force myself and am usually glad I did. I usually aim for 100 books in my GR challenge. That averages out to around 2 books/week I guess. I kind of wish I’d taken more time when I read The Best of Us. I really liked it but read it really fast – and now I have to wait for Robyn Carr’s next book. I wonder if the series will continue.
Hope you’re having a good week!

I see you are readying your parents house for sale in the comments. Yes, big job, December ’17 we did that and I know what a huge job it is. So can understand how it is with reading. We had 7 of us working on it and could have had more!!

It was a big job and now in the hands of a realtor. Good to have the hard work behind us.

I finished my first print book but am still listening to my first audio of the year, it may be a DNF.

Oh, Mary, I do understand about readying a parent house (or condo in my case) for sale. Whew! It was definitely a job. Glad you’re having a bit of time to read that Robyn Carr book. I love how she writes and I’m also looking forward to trying The Suspect. And here I said I wasn’t going to be interested in the new and shiny. Ha!

I always enjoy Fiona Barton’s books, but the length scared me away so I passed on it. 🙂
It is difficult getting a home ready for sale. Take care.
ENJOY your books when you get a chance to read.

I may have to check Fiona Barton’s books. And Robyn Carr would be good to read at anytime so First Book is nice. Happy Reading. (Missed you at MM.)

I think Carr is in my top 5 authors list. I’ll read anything she writes.
I was out of town (without my computer) so I missed the MM post. I’ll be back this week 🙂
