Did you read A Man Called Ove? If yes, did you like it? If yes, how did Beartown compare? I loved Ove but couldn’t get through My Grandmother.

Yes, I loved Ove! I liked Beartown (see that comparison?). It’s hard to compare when books are so different but I had a couple of favorite characters in Beartown that were in the same demo as Ove 🙂 I also wasn’t a fan of ‘Grandmother’.

I hope to get a copy of One Good Thing…and Bear Town also looks good. And I am eager to start reading my copy of The Night the Lights Went Out.

Nice to see all the books you read in April. I am just starting One Good Thing on audio so will take me awhile. Thanks for the rec for the Chilbury Ladies’ Choir, it was so good and you were the only person I came across who was reading it.

I need to take a break soon from review titles… well that is after I read all the NetGalley titles I already have!
Hope you enjoy reading what you have this week!

I know what you mean, Martha. I actually read a non-review book on vacation last week and loved not having to think about what I would write in my review. I simply wrote a couple of lines and gave a star rating on Goodreads and Amazon. What a feeling 🙂 Have a great week!

I was kind of surprised by my April total. The Irish Cottage was a free book that I read on vacation. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading the next two in the series. Hope you get a chance to read it.
