  1. I’m worried about the new Backman. I loved A Man Called Ova (4/4) and couldn’t get through My Grandmother Says to Tell You She’s Sorry (125 pages). Which way does this one go?

    • I didn’t finish “My Grandmother…” either, Lloyd but I enjoyed “Ove” and “Britt-Marie” and the short story And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer. So I’m willing to give Beartown a try.

  2. That Lucinda Riley series is calling my name and I’ve heard amazing things about The Chilbury Ladies’ Choir. Another RaeAnne Thayne! Yay! I love that series! Have a great week!

    • I’d been curious about the Riley series from all the blogger buzz about it. This is the third book but the first for me to read. So far I can say it can stand alone. I love Thayne’s books so I was happy when this arrived in my actual mailbox 🙂

  3. Such a good lot of books coming in, I sweat if that much comes in, in a month! Will be interesting to see what you think of The Shadow Sister reading it. I liked the audiobook of it. Very long but I liked both stories especially the Flora one.

    • I know. Last week I had zero books so I guess it all averages out, right? I’m enjoying The Shadow Sister so far especially Flora’s story – that aspect seems stronger than the current day story. But I’m only at 35%.

  4. Hi Mary,

There is something about the cover art of ‘The Nearness Of You’ which really captures my imagination and your review kind of reflects this.

You also have some great books to choose from this time, with ‘The Sisters Of Blue Mountain’ and ‘The Halo Effect’ really catching my eye.

Thanks for sharing and enjoy your reading this week 🙂
