  1. I got a copy of Christmas at the Beach as well – love these books! My dad loved Louise Penny and gave me Still LIfe but I just haven’t gotten to it yet.

    Have a great week Mary!!!

    • This will be my first Louise Penny book – it was a sale book for Kindle last week. I like a good cozy from time to time and love small town fiction so it should be a win – win, right?

  2. I rad on of the books in the Louise Penny series and enjoyed it. I should really go back and read the series from the beginning. I enjoyed the characters and felt right at home in Three Pines! Happy reading, Mary!

    • This JT book is part of a western historical series. I’ve read a couple and enjoy them. My favorites, though, are her Harmony series. She’s a great story teller, isn’t she?

    • It’s very short, Tracy, and would work best if you’ve read the first two novels in the series. I hope you find some good Christmas books for the challenge!

  3. Hi Mary,

I wasn’t surprised to see that only a couple of your other commenters picked up on the Dilly Court book. I was already wondering just how much coverage UK authors, writing in this kind of mainstream genre, actually get in the US and how popular they really are.

I did see that you had purchased this book, so I assume that you know of Dilly Court books. I have read a couple of the earlier books and really enjoyed them, so I can’t wait to see what you think of ‘The Best Of Daughters’.

Thanks for sharing and enjoy all of your new finds,

    Yvonne

    • Yvonne, this will be my first Dilly Court book. It was on sale and I decided to get it after reading some glowing reviews of her most recent book. I’m hoping to read it sometime this winter or next spring.

  4. I adored Still Life! A lot was because it takes place in my province I’ll admit, but the story and the characters were also fun. I hope you love it too! Happy reading!
