As promised, here are some photos from our winter break:
The reason for taking our winter break
We went to warm and sunny Arizona
My husband picking a grapefruit
He also picked some tangelos
We visited FLW’s Taliesin West near Scottsdale
I bought a few souvenirs at the bookstore
We saw a Spring Training game – our team won 🙂
A very hungry hummingbird
We still have several inches of snow on the ground but Spring is officially here and we know the weather will figure it out soon.
Happy reading!
Look at all that snow; Arizona was a perfect escape choice Mary. Loved all the photos and you even found a bookstore (bonus)! That is one huge hummingbird — I’ve never seen them that big. Have a great week.

Great books this week, Mary. I read Return to Willow Lake last year – love that series. Did you know she has a new series coming out this Spring – I just got the first book from Netgalley.
Have a great week!

Loved the hummingbird video! It’s still too chilly here to put out the feeders, but maybe after Easter! Glad you had a great time in Arizona! Love the Scottsdale area!

Good idea taking a break in Arizona! My summer closet is calling me but winter just won’t leave.
I just finished Life After Life. It took me a little longer than usual to read because I kept going back to figure out where we were. I liked it but found it a little disorienting.
The hummingbirds should be returning to the Midwest soon… I hope!

Leslie, I know what you mean about Life After Life. It took me 2 weeks to finish it. I liked it as well but life got busy during the 2 weeks.

You must have soaked that sunshine in while in Arizona….it looks like you had a wonderful time. The FLW home Taileisin must have been interesting! We toured Falling Water in PA last year and enjoyed it. FLW was an interesting man!
