Sunday Post

What a week! My thoughts and prayers have been with all who were affected by Sandy. Here’s a pic I took with my phone on Tuesday as she (he?) reached the Lake Michigan shore at Milwaukee:

I posted two reviews last week.

The Shortest Way Home by Juliette Fay

Further Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman by JB Lynn

I’ve started reading Christmas novels – can you believe it’s that time already? I’m ok with that as long as I don’t have to shovel snow yet.

Have a great week!

  2. My brother-in-law and his wife were in NYC when the storm hit. We were so glad to hear they were okay afterwards.

I’m getting excited about Christmas too, but, yeah, the snow can hold off for a while. šŸ™‚

  3. I feel so sorry for those directly affected by Sandy. I know our local grocery store have bare shelves in some sections. My niece from Long Island is down here as still no power in Long Island.

    Have a good week Mary.

  4. Wasn’t the size of the waves on the Great Lakes amazing?? Lake Huron was wild for two days!! I’m ready to read some Christmas stories too. But it looks like the snow will be here sooner rather than later!

  5. That storm was so devastating. I’d rather have my snow – it’s much safer. I’m actually looking forward to reading a few Christmas stories this year. With the snow we had I was ready to put up my Christmas tree. Lol.

  6. It seems amazing to me how the great lakes were affected so much. Your photo made me think of the ocean. I’ve never seen lakes so wild.

  7. Thanks for thinking of we East Coasters! It was certainly a wild week but I am very grateful that I, my friends and family all survived without major damage. I love reading Christmas novels! Becky from One Literature Nut and I were chatting about it on Twitter last week and she put up a post soliciting recommendations. Stop by and add yours if you have a chance! mjmbecky.blogspot.com/2012/11/holiday-reading-recommendations.html
