I found one review book in my mailbox last week – it looks like a good one!
The Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bohjalian (from Doubleday)
♦
I bought one I’ve been wanting to read:
The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty
♦
And after reading Gilion’s review I bought:
The Hapless Valet by Lenhardt Stevens. I’m not certain when I’ll get a chance to read it but when I do I’ll be sure to let you know here! Isn’t that a great cover?
What was in your mailbox?
Both Sandcastle Girls and the Chaperone are on my TBR!!! Looking forward to your reviews.

I read Midwives by the first author and wasn’t crazy about it but maybe because of the subject. Hope you enjoy all your books!

I listened to the audio of The Chaperone and it was awesome. I have The Sandcastle Girls too but won’t be able to get to it until later this summer.

Hi Mary,
Three completely diverse and different books this week then. Like me, you seem have quite eclectic reading tastes and try to mix your reading genres.
I also read Gilion’s review of ‘The Hapless Valet’ and now have it to read myself. I have read a couple of mysteries with some elements of humour to the story and have to say that I have quite enoyed them, so I have great hopes for this book.
I am not too sure about ‘The Sandcastle Girls’, although I should imagine it will be quite a rievting and revealing read and I could well be persuaded by a good review rating.
‘The Chaperone’ just doesn’t appeal to me at all, but I hope that you enjoy all your books and thanks for sharing them.
