    • Isn’t she fun? I heard her speak at an author event at a local book store a couple of years ago. There must have been over 200 people there!

  1. Hi Mary,

This is an author that I have heard so much about, yet have actually never read.

I wish that authors wouldn’t keep writing books as a series, as I am notoriously bad at keeping track of the series, let alone reading the books in any kind of order.

I shall keep my eye open for your review of this one, as hopefully it will work well as a stand alone story, then I can add it to my list.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Yvonne

    • Yvonne, this author does series and stand-alones. She usually does a good job catching readers up with the series in each book so I think they can stand alone. The characters develop over the series so I usually try to read in order. I’m good with series as long as I hear about them early on. If I read about one several books in I rarely get on board. So this is the first in a new series. Haven’t read it yet but I have high hopes 🙂

  2. I saw Debbie on a knitting show. She talked a little bit about her books too. It was interesting. Have a good week, Mary, and enjoy all your new book!

  3. Cannot wait to read the Macomber book. I love contemps. And I rec’d a few books from paperback swap this week – cannot remember the titles – passed them along to my first to read. LOL. But I did also rec. Mariah Stewart’s Home For the Summer – just started it and cannot wait to find out the secret the heroine is hiding although I have some idea.

    • Might be a good one for you to read, Laurel, since it’s the first in a series! Did you know Hallmark channel is doing the pilot (hopefully leading to a series) of her Cedar Cove series? Can’t wait to see that!

  4. I’m one of those that hasn’t read a Debbie Macomber book. Most of them have charming covers so I’m always noticing the books, just haven’t read one yet.

  5. I love cozying up with a Macomber book once in a while. Her stories are always comforting to me. I wish she would have written more of the Blossom street books with the original characters.
