This is Nikki, a nine or ten year old Westie. Several weeks ago the person Nikki lived with passed away and Nikki was sent to a shelter. You can imagine what was in store for her. The Westie Rescue came to her rescue and she ended up in northern New England where my daughter adopted her. She came all the way from Kansas but Nikki is quickly becoming used to living near the Maine shore.
She even has her own life jacket 🙂
That’s wonderful that your daughter adopted her. She looks happy to be out boating and I bet she loves her new home.

Oh WOW! She’s just too cute. And it looks like life on the water is just her speed. Our pups are not quite as old (5 and 7.5) but I can’t imagine they’d be very happy with shelter life after lives of home life. Glad she has a new forever home. Love it!

Lucky little pup, and lucky daughter! She looks adorable in her life vest. Do you live in Maine also?? I have always wanted to live in, or at the very least visit Maine! In response to your comment on my blog today: Yes! I do love skinnytaste.com. I think I highlighted it in a previous weekend cooking post. What did I do for new recipes before the internet?? 🙂

How fortunate for Nikki and your daughter! It’s a good thing that Jason puts his foot down on number of pets (2) or this place would be a madhouse with rescued dogs.
