Texas Blue by Jodi Thomas (blog tour)

(Goodreads synopsis) Gambling man Lewton Paterson wants to marry into a respectable family. After fleecing a train ticket, Lewt makes his way to Whispering Mountain. But seducing a well-bred woman is hard, and Lewt realizes that to entice a McMurray sister, he’ll need to learn a thing or two about ranching-and love.

I bought:

The Summerhouse by Jude Deveraux – I bought this after Sheila at Book Journey said it’s one of her favorite books.  Thanks for the rec, Sheila!  I’ll read it in a few months.

(Goodreads synopsis) Three best friends, all turning forty, celebrate at a summerhouse in Maine — and take stock of their lives, loves, and choices. A mysterious “Madame Zoya” now arrives, offering them a chance to relive any three weeks from the past. Each woman must choose a particular dream that got away — and a life to truly satisfy the heart’s deepest longings.

  1. Summerhouse – Maine? Say no more, I’m all over it! Sounds like a good read for a lazy day. Enjoy it, Mary.

  2. Great covers on both…love the blue. I read The Summerhouse a few years ago, before I was reviewing everything I read…and I don’t remember a lot about it, except I do recall loving it!

    Time for a reread, perhaps.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  3. GONE WITH A HANDSOMER MAN – Michael Lee West from LibraryThing Early Reviewer

ONE WAS A SOLDIER – Julia Spencer-Fleming, from I do not know….I like surprise books

  4. Sounds like fun!

I’m pretty sure I had The Summerhouse in my hands to read at some point, but I never did, and I haven’t seen it around here either. There’s no record of it anywhere. Maybe I checked it out from the library. LOL.

Enjoy your reading! And I hope your memory is better than mine :-).

  5. The Summerhouse does sound good. So good, in fact, that I’m going to buy the Kindle edition. Did you see that there is a sequel too called Return to Summerhouse?

  6. Oh the Summerhouse sounds wonderful! Makes me wonder, which three weeks would I pick? I will have to add this to my wish list.

  7. Thank you so so much for stopping by my blog…I love visitors…I read The Summer House a while ago and totally loved it…that was a great choice.
