My Summer 2010 Challenge

Happy June!  I’ve decided to challenge myself to read some or all of the books pictured above between now and Labor Day (Sept. 6).  They are personal buys or giveaway wins and have been on my TBR shelf for several months.
Have you read any of them?  What did you think?  Which should I read first?
Books Read:
1. Supreme Courtship by Christopher Buckley
2. Where The River Runs by Patti Callahan Henry
3.  Italian For Beginners by Kristin Harmel
4.  Real Life and Liars by Kristina Riggle
5.  Your Roots Are Showing by Elise Chidley

  1. Supreme Courtship! Quick easy read that will have you chuckling out loud. Fantastic book. Italian for Beginners was on my readar screen and I just never got the book but it looked good from the reviews. I'm looking forward to your thoughts on that one.

  2. The top one. I read/reviewed this Jeanne Kalogridis a while ago and really enjoyed it – so much so that it was one of the books to make it onto our already overcrowded book shelves.

  4. Raven Stole the Moon is definitely one I want to read.I have given myself a monthly reading list this month, so I actually work through the books I own and finish up with all my library books.

  15. Mary, I need to do my own summer challenge like this. I've had the same books sitting on my shelf and instead of reading them I just keep buying books or getting more from the library! Why do I do that?? lol

  17. I haven’t read any of these books but love the idea of the personal challenge. I have purchased less than five books this year, I’m trying to get through my personal collection too.

I LOVE the comment system on WordPress – I’m jealous!

I wish I could say I’ve only purchased 5 books this year. I’m practicing some restraint though 🙂 Good luck to us!

  18. I haven’t read any of these, but I loved Patti Callahan Henry’s other book, “Losing the Moon” — she’s a terrific author!

I may just have to steal your button and join you in a summer TBR challenge… I have so many books that I’ve gotten recently that I’ve set aside so that I can finish my review books first… but those other books (still very new-to-me) are calling to me. 😉

    Thanks!
