Debbie Macomber’s latest newsletter was in my inbox yesterday. She shared this bit of info:
In August you’ll be able to see a movie on Hallmark Channel based on my Cedar Cove series. After the movie premieres, the network will make a decision about green-lighting the series. (You can’t imagine how hard it’s been to keep this secret until the contract was signed!) More news when I have it!
I’m so excited because I’ve always thought this series would be a great one for Hallmark or Lifetime.

That’s exciting news! I’ve only read one book by Debbie Macomber – When Christmas Comes – and I really liked it and have been meaning to read more of her stuff.
I’ve always thought this series would make wonderful made-for-TV movies. I’m surprised it wasn’t done sooner. Thanks for the heads-up Mary!

I’m so excited about this. My sisters both just finished reading this series and they were also excited when I told them about the movie. Hopefully the first one will be really good and they will continue the series.
